LOGOMARK
The Wind Wanderers logomark features a bold geometric design stamp where "WW" letterforms integrate with a kitesurfer's zigzagging path. The minimalist approach with strong lines and negative space conveys both stability and freedom—core brand values. We needed to craft a distinctive brand narrative that would elevate their offerings above conventional kitesurfing gear, highlighting the seamless fusion of cutting-edge IoT technology with high-performance apparel. IMPLEMENTATION
To bring Wind Wanderers’ vision of a tech-enhanced kitesurfing experience to life, we outlined a strategic, phased approach that leverages our expertise in branding, web development, and IoT integration.

Brand Discovery & Strategy
We kicked off the Wind Wanderers project by diving into the kitesurfing community, conducting surveys with 50 enthusiasts and informal chats with five instructors to pinpoint needs like better performance tracking and community ties. This shaped a brand strategy anchored in technological innovation, performance excellence, and authentic connection, brought to life with a bold logomark—a geometric "WW" mirroring a kitesurfer’s path—and a striking blue-white-yellow palette. We crafted a concise style guide to unify the look across a website, app mockups, and apparel concepts, leveraging our branding expertise to establish Wind Wanderers as a fresh, tech-savvy presence in the sport.

App Design & Prototyping
With the brand foundation set, we designed a sleek website and "Wind Wanderers Tracker" app interface, blending minimalist aesthetics with dynamic touches. The app mockups featured intuitive screens for live GPS tracking, session summaries, and video overlays, refined through feedback from a small group of kitesurfers we looped in for usability insights. We delivered a cohesive prototype that balanced style and function, proving Wind Wanderers could merge cutting-edge tech with an engaging user experience.

Development & Integration
We turned designs into action by building a website with SvelteJS for speed and flexibility, paired with Contentful for easy updates, and developed a app to bring the Tracker vision to iOS and Android. Using Supabase as the backbone, we integrated sample GPS data from Garmin watches—tracking speed and distance—with GoPro footage timestamps to create a working proof-of-concept that fused physical kitesurfing with a branded digital layer.
